What uuidapp is

uuidapp makes every kind of UUID, from v1 to v8, plus GUIDs, Nano IDs and ULIDs. Each one has its own page with a generator, bulk export to CSV, JSON, SQL or text, and a short explanation of what it is and when to use it.

There are also tools to decode a UUID,check a list of them andconvert between formats, andguides that answer one question each.

Standards we follow

UUIDs follow RFC 9562, the 2024 standard that replaced RFC 4122 and added versions 6, 7 and 8. ULIDs follow theULID spec, and Nano IDs use theNano ID defaults: 21 characters from a URL-safe alphabet.

The v1 and v6 generators use a random node ID, never a network card address.

Why it is free

The site shows ads, which pay for hosting. There are no accounts and no paid tiers. Theprivacy policy explains what the ads collect and how to control it.
